I was so excited to see this posted all at once. I read the whole thing yesterday and tried to leave you a comment but LJ ate it.
What a fabulous sequel! The things that struck me when I read it: the great characters, the smooth pacing of the story, Harry's kindness and gentleness, and Daniel--oh Daniel! I love Daniel. The OCs weren't bothersome in the least. Then afer I finished and thought about it some more I realized: the story took place in such a short space of time, Ron wasn't there (which gives me a good excuse to go back and read ATBT again!), and I liked Hermione in a fic for a change. And thank you so much for getting Harry to talk to Draco about everything before the end of the story. I so didn't want them to keep that discussion till the end. I also loved the way you "sandwiched" the action in between the two love scenes. It felt right.
It was an excellent read and one I will come back to again. Thanks so much for sharing and for posting it all so I didn't have to live with the cliff hangers.
I'm glad you appreciate the non-WIP-ness. I like reading stories all at once, myself. But sometimes it seems so long between when I start writing and when I can finally post the beast, and I imagine that everyone's forgotten all about me and my little world.
Ron. Poor Ron doesn't get much of a role in this world, because I've conveniently made him a new and busy dad. But mostly Dean gets to say the things that Ron normally would, so he'd be a bit redundant.
I find writing Hermione a little hard, but I really needed her. I think she needed me too, to make up for the disaster she caused last time. She and Snape made a surprisingly good team, I think.
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for letting me know.
