Well, jet lag or no, I read the whole story last night because I just couldn't stop...
I already loved ATBT, but I think I loved the sequel even more. The plot is intriguing, the characters are well-drawn, and the writing is so very beautiful that I was frequently going back to reread a paragraph to savour it fully.
In ATBT, I cared most for the Harry/Draco relationship, but in the sequel, I loved the interaction of the other characters just as much - especially the way Hermione and Snape are slowly coming to an understanding (which eventually leads to Snape having to suffer through a fashion show ;) And though I usually don't care very much for OCs, I'm totally in love with Daniel now...
To sum it up, this was one of the best fics I've ever read and so worth the wait. Thank you for writing it!
(I hope this was somewhat coherent because I just got up after going to bed at 3:30 in the morning...;)
Oh, you're so sweet, Rose! I'm sorry I made you stay up too late, but I know I've done it myself when I start reading something long.
I think I've learned a lot since writing my first fics, and I'm glad you think the stories are getting better. I had some great times writing this one (well, and some frustrations, too, I have to admit).
That rascal Daniel wanted to take over the whole story. He made such an interesting diversion for Draco to tell his woes to. I wanted to make sure all us H/D lovers didn't end up hating him after he put the moves on Draco, but he's a sensible boy and knows true love when he sees it, right? So we've forgiven him. I think he'll get something going with Tommie from the Flame. He deserves someone of his very own.
