I was tagged to come up with a list of folks I wouldn't toss out of bed, such as Jude Law or Boyd Holbrook. This, you must admit, is a rather tenuous position for someone of my advancing age to lay claim to. I mean, to say that I'd be interested in purely physical things with, say, the actress Keira Knightley or the musician Loreena McKennitt, or even the little known actors Francisco Bosch (Bagoas) or Stefano Dionisi (Farinelli) might send you all into paroxisms of horror. You might allow me to indulge, however, in celebrities more my own age, such as Smokey Robinson, with those green eyes. But you may cringe when I mention the very young blues musician, Jonny Lang. Still, I doubt that you'd find it surprising to see other models or actors included in the list, such as Hugh Dancy or Jonathan Rhys-Meyer. Or even the athlete David Beckham. Still, if we want to think locally while acting globally, maybe we'd all put [livejournal.com profile] adamasoda on the list.

However, to make such a list would be odd, don't you think?

And not only is Jonny Lang cute, the boy can sing: Lie To Me (link active for 1 week).

Francisco is a Spanish ballet dancer, who ended up playing Bagoas, the Persian eunuch, in Oliver Stone's Alexander.

You should do this - you're already on your way! Neil Gaiman, yes. He's coming to a nearby bookstore in September, and I can't decide whether to stand in line to -- what? Get him to sign a piece of paper? Exchange 10 words with him? ("Hey, Neil, I read slash of your fics, yeah?")

Neil Gaiman, most definitely yes. I had the opportunity to exchange, oh, twenty words with him at Worldcon last year. I told him that I embarrassed myself by laughing out loud on a public bus while reading Good Omens. He said, "I like embarrassing people on busses".

I also got to hear him read the first chapter of the rough draft of Anansi Boys, and talk about writing and stuff like that. I'm actually writing a LOT more because of it, and I consider my trip to Worldcon one of those points in life where you come to a decision. I decided I actually can write, and want to, and someday when I publish my first novel, Neil will be high up on the list of people I dedicate it to.

Not to mention he looks really good in a tux and glasses. Oh, yes.

And...Francisco Bosch plays a eunuch? Well. I have GOT to see this movie.
