B.F. Skinner proved that intermittent reinforcement provides the penultimate behavioral change. Me? I'm the penultimate subject.

Initial condition: I think it's pretty well known that I'm addicted to music these days.

Me: Think I'll update my musical currency with a modicum of [livejournal.com profile] audiography.

[livejournal.com profile] primroseburrows: Here, have some musical heroin instead.

Me: Okay!

Yes, folks, let me point you to the crack that is Pandora. Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems combine to figure out what I like musically and feed me more of it. No more wire-monkey mother substitutes for me - I'm all about cloth (oh, if you get that reference, 10 points to your house of choice!)

Ten more points if you determined that my starting point was Pink Floyd. The current song is playing because the system has determined I like "a subtle use of vocal harmony, syncopated rhythms, mixed acoustic and electric instrumentation, and a vocal-centric aesthetic." I couldn't have said it better.

Did you know there's an artist named "Robi Draco Rosa"? How can I not love him?

Yet another wonderful thing for me to do instead of get a decent GPA. Thanks!

(Can I take ten points from Sparkleypoo instead?)

This reminds me of the bad joke: What do they call the person who graduates at the bottom of his/her med school class? Doctor.

GPAs are overrated, I say. No matter what you do now, you'll still have recurring nightmares where you realize have a class you need to take before you can graduate, and you never attended even once, and the final's in 10 minutes, and you can't find the friggin' classroom! For years, you'll have this dream. I'm just sayin'.

Oh, you can sleep soundly NOW, but just you wait.... *tick, tick, tick* ...hear that? It's the sound of your future lying in wait....
