"Season in Hell" & "After the Flood": I think they're the best Cassie's ever written. Tragic, funny, hot - it's got everything. Great H/D. (Not to mention the fact that Harry gets the all the credit for the heroic deeds he actually never performs!)

"Through A Shattered Mirror" - I'm not too keen on sexualized Snape fics, but this one works so well. It also illustrates well how sub/dom relationships can ultimately become utterly normal to the participants. Love this.

I found Cassie Claire's duo early in my fandom career and still go back and reread it frequently. IMHO, it's one of her best works, what with the odd tone of the whole thing. It showed me that fanfic didn't have to be quite so linear.

And I also love the writing in Through A Shattered Mirror (as well as the Snape-POV version). I'm no huge Snape fan in slash, but there are indeed fics that can sway me. This is one. Well, and there's Draco in it, of course.

Awwww...thanks a bunch for the rec! *blush*

My pleasure. You were one of the difficult authors - because I like so many of your stories, I couldn't narrow it down for round 1. And I'm not a big fan of Snape/Harry, so only special authors make it into my consciousness. You are one of the writers who can sell me on it, and this fic is so clever!

Woohoo! More terrific recs! I'd read many of those, but it's so nice to be reminded!

I'm not sure if I made this list for me or for the rest of you! I love to go back and reread these, though.

Thank you so much for the rec for "The Persons We Were" -- this was a lovely surprise. :)

It was my pleasure. And I read and bookmarked that story long ago, probably when I wasn't so good about leaving happy feedback, either. Well, let this be my belated apology - I enjoyed this very much! And I think other folks will, too.

Heh. More good stories to read. Yay. I read Once Spoken last night and it was wonderful. I like your taste in recs. Thanks.

I hope you noticed I included HP/SS fics this time around - because you pointed out my lack the last time! Although that's not a big pairing with me, but there are obvious exceptions.

I'm not getting responses in email from my posts...

So, I would have responded sooner. I *did* notice. :-) And I liked the noted stories. I also have read several that you rec'd h/d and they are great! Thanks again. ;-)

Is this where I tell you I've got 15 pages on a h/d story (rough draft really)?

I just re-read Not A Whisper by AJ Hall, and I'd forgotten just how good it was. So romantic. *sniff*

So don't forget to read its sequel of the very next night, which is unnamed (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ajhalluk/70032.html), because it's such a hurt/comfort thing.

Hey, I finally finished Rough Music! Of course I loved it.

Yay. So sad. I loved Frances, I think, more than any of the other characters.

Oh, the sequel I can practically quote. Maybe there's slashy hope for me yet, and you guys won't drum me out of town.

Sauntered by after re-reading your epic and its sequel for the 6th and 4th time respectively.
One day will bore you to tears by forcing you to read every gushing word in a lengthy squeeful missive on said epics.
With that threat in store, shall you allow me to friend you? (I know your friending policy, having read it in your info, but I fancy myself a courteous soul, hence being polite X). What say?)

Well, of course! Hop on the LJ, but beware of occasional RL whining (which I try to keep to a dull roar).

Thank you :)
RL whining? My dear, you have no cause to warn me - I firmly hold the belief that writers are permitted to have a life outside fanfiction, and if said life is vexatious at times, they're free to write whatever they like, on their little LJ space :)

I actually saw you on [livejournal.com profile] kayen's journal first of all, then chanced to read your stories over the past 6-8 months, and often reference your writing in my meta posts, the latest of these being a recent post on canon and fanon Draco types, in my lj. I figured it's high time I read your blog more regularly. Ca tout :)
