Pictures. Of me. From long ago. And a bonus mystery character.

Getting ready for a little commute, Escalante, Utah - 1978. And yes, we flew with the doors off like this.

1983 - Showers only $1! Oddly, though, this scenic building was filled with dead cattle. About 60 miles from the nearest anything, except pronghorns and wild horses. Red Desert, Wyoming.

Geoviki had a little lamb - 1985

Who is this? Lucius or Sirius or Bill or??? - 1976

Oh! And the pretty! You, I mean, not the lamb (although, yes: also pretty.)

Who's the guy with too much hair? ;o)

He is the inspiration for the hair-combing scenes in my Waters of March, of course.

Love the pics. Hubby has gorgeous hair - I loved the hair-combing scenes in WoM beyond all reckoning, so it's great to be able to see the inspiration!

Sirius, huh? When I remembered the picture, I was thinking more Lucius, but when I saw it again, I agree - he looks too rough around the edges for Lucius. More the Sirius look. Although I was playing around and was making the hair red, and he looked like a wild Bill, too. But I love his little Mona Lisa smirk there.

It's my husband, of course.

*returns to writing Some Enchanted Evening, whee!*

You know how much I'm looking forward to this!!! *returns to writing ATBT sequel*

OMG!!! GREAT pictures!! You rock!!!! Look at the BOOTS!!!

Um. Is that man with The Hair possibly your hubby? I have a strong urge to COMB and BRAID, or at least put it all behind his ears :D And oh, look! The lamb is SMILING :D Awwwwww!!!

I found a shoebox full of my 80's pictures and I was laughing my arse off. Really, what was it with the hair back then?! Your 1985 hair is really subdued, it looks nice! (Mine was plum coloured with blond long whisps here and there. Also, white lipstick and pastel green jackets >_<)

Got it in one! And everyone wonders where I got that fixation with long hair that I wrote about in Waters of March!

I had to laugh at my 1985 haircut - because it's exactly like the one I have now! Yes, I am stuck in time, why do you ask?

White lipstick was very popular when I was in 7th grade (age 13). Little ghouls, we were.

*GRIN* How long is his hair now? (He's cute, btw, lofly smile! :D)

We come a few years behind the big world, apart from 70's (when I was still wearing braids and mary janes), white lipstick was oh-so popular in mid-80's. That, and pastel colours, big hair and UPTURNED COLLARS :D Oh gosh, but then again, I'd take 80's fashion anyday, I'm having more (aesthetic) problems with this scanty 00's fashion...

Ooooh. I love the pics! I was going to do a Thevina retrospective with pictures of me in my Australian school uniform, and at my grandmother's house, and then I realized... no scanner.

Yours are much more fun. So glad that you shared with us!

Hope you are doing well. I saw that you had some new recs, so I'll need to check them out. I will remain forever grateful that my R/S is one that you've recommended to others! I have your thoughtful comments about "The Essence of Black" on the wall in my "my writing doesn't suck" shrine. :)

Take care,
-T

p.s. they really are great pictures.

Glad you liked! Maybe I'll start a trend of digging out old photos and we can all laugh at each other...

I'm behind in posting more recs. I've been reading a lot lately, and some things that people have been reccing to me for a while. There's never enough time, you know?

Your writing doesn't suck, of course! It's excellent!

If I posted a photo of myself in 1978 or 1985, you'll laugh so loud! Btw, I want a photo of yours from now (can be via mail). Please?

Isis posted pictures of her and me back in January, here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/isiscolo/128793.html). That's me, laughing like an idiot!

And I saw the pictures of you from last week on ...I forget whose LJ. So so cool! I love the haircut you have; it makes you look so cosmopolitan and European! You sort of look like I imagined you might, big soulful eyes and petite.

Wee, you look fun and actually very much like I imagined you! Which is rare, I usually visualize people absolutely unlike their real selves :/
