I've been reading you people again.
To be more specific, I've been reading
fabularasa and
ajhalluk and
slytherincess and
femmequixotic in the past two weeks, and it's led my thoughts in all kind of serious directions. And then I start relaxing with a glass of wine and the next thing I know I've poured out my little writerly heart to Mr. Geoviki and suddenly there's a lot less wine in the bottle than when I started.
And my thoughts run like this.
First and foremost, there's that awed sense of privilege and delight that comes with discovering that level of artistry in writing. I feel it with music, too. Actually, it's almost like finding religion -- better, because everyone can join the church of My New Love, and I want to proselytize like mad and convert you all. I want to go to airports and dress in robes and accost strangers with my ardor. "Wait, read this! Do you see how she's done that, how those words in that combination have created something that speaks to the heart? Isn't it holy?"( more ponderosity )
Next up: my thoughts on yaoi.
To be more specific, I've been reading
