This is the first April 1st in years that even tracked across my NORAD radar screen. I was friended by
exsugo - obviously good arbiters of taste. I was glommed on by someone claiming to be friending millions (they're gone now, or I'd link). I fell for
icarusancalion's post. I clicked through all the banners for FictionAlley.
Up until then, the only indication of the "holiday" was my 17-year-old daughter expressing paranoia about my 13-year-old son putting bugs in the shower. (He's been uncharacteristically quiet all day. Last night he was asking mysterious questions about Jello.) My husband spent the day with other engineers; he said that there was no indication of anything unusual (for engineers).
Do they even have April Fool's Day outside the US? I finally got organized and made a list of all my friends and where they live. I have a large cluster of Finnish friends - thanks! *waves*. Plus the not unexpected cluster of UK friends (this is HP fandom.
I'm feelin' good. (No, it's not just the Merlot talking.) ATBT is so close to being finished I can almost taste it. And I still like it, too. Rereading it, I get that "whoa, you know, this isn't too bad, really, you know, I think this might actually work" feeling. More on that in the next post; you won't take it seriously today!

Yes, besides coming in bunches we do also have Aprils Fool's day in Finland :) My daughter (6) successfully fooled me yesterday: 'You see mommy, I was taking pictures with your camera and and and and I was being really careful and and and then Bramble tripped me and and and then I fell and and and the camera fell and now it's all broken *theatrical sob*'. Thankfully her poker face isn't that good.
