A great guide to J-Rock artists

Some of you are probably sick of me spouting on about J-Rock these days. Sorry, loves. But for those whose curiosity is piqued, here's a great guide I found today of some of the best artists of the genre:

J-Rock's Best Vocalists

My favorites are Miyavi, Hyde (with and without L'arc~en~Ciel), Gackt, Luna Sea, GazettE, and Nell (actually a Korean band). This LJ post has links to listen to, to watch, and to...you know.

Ooh, that's a good list. The only ones I don't know are some of the newer ones. I haven't really listened to alice nine, girugamesh, etc.

I was glad to see Hakuei from Penicillin on there. That's one of those bands that I really love but I feel doesn't get much love outside of Japan for some reason.

I've dabbled in most of these groups, so this post really caught my attention. For people like me, who are just learning about J-Rock, I thought it was full of great info and music.

Were you the one who turned me on to Nell? I ended up with one song that I've played to death - a ballad.

I did post a Nell song, so that might have been me, yeah. :D Hyeonshileui Hyeonshil? I dled a bunch of their albums and they were all pretty good, though nothing quite the level of that song, at least on first listen.

LOL @ your icon. I bought a bunch of GLAY merchandise when I was in Japan, especially of Jiro, the bassist. And once I got back home I always got comments on my t-shirt and the button on my backpack: "Who's she?" "She's pretty."

That's the one! Thank you, I've really enjoyed it, so when I saw that this gal included more Nell, I picked it up right away.

Someone else invented the idea of the icon, and I'd love to find out who to credit them. I redid it with my own favorite guys. I like to make icons.

I adore your icon so much--and I for one am keen on discovering J-Rock!

This thrills me! I've been out here beating the drum (heh) for my lovely J-Rockers so, so hard! I used to be kind of embarrassed to admit I really go for androgynous and, yes, downright crossdressy guys, but now I'm out 'n' proud!

Plus they're great musicians.

So turn-about is fair play - I've discovered this site (http://www.onemanga.com/Death_Note/), so I've got weekend plans.

SQUEEEEE! If you don't love it I will forgive you. But I hope you love it! :D

I would put Ohno from Arashi there too just because I'm biased. His voice amazes me.

Well, now I need to track this down. I haven't heard of him/them.

Sings AND dances (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdUKlWRZBQA). Though of course, not exactly rock.

Wow, I like that!

I'd heard of this so I poked around on YouTube and found it: Moon Child. And I started watching it but I have sooo many other things to do I had to stop.

You forgot to add it's got Gackt in it too, which is twice the pleasure. Because:

He looks a little ticked off, though.
