Freeeee! squeeeee!
May. 13th, 2010 02:59 pmLots of news. Is it a mark of how busy I am that it's taken me this long to post about it?
First and foremost, I am a retired lady, for reals. My last day of work was April 30. If you've been following along at home, you'll remember that I'm going to be rehired to work a couple of afternoons a week just to clean out and organize abandoned stuff in our building (which will take me until I'm 90, no lie.) Being the gov'ment and all, no one seems to be in any particular hurry to move along the paperwork that makes that so, which is fine by me. I've been doing other stuff, don’t ask me what because the time just evaporates. Okay, I cleaned out my clothes closet last week, trying everything on and wondering, "What the hell was I thinking???". Five bags went out the door to new owners. And I've been keeping up with my exercise classes, so there's that. But catching up on sleep – priceless!
Second, I've been invited to join one of my favorite music blogs, Star Maker Machine. Go check me out! I've posted 5 entries in the past 3 weeks, but you have to look at the end of the post to work out which ones I've written. (tip: surprisingly, I'm the only one posting J-Rock).
I'll be picking up my son from his first year of uni tomorrow, so my quiet days at home will come to an end for a bit. Let's everyone pray to their particular deities that he finds a job, okay? Because although I love him dearly, of course, he is a truly sucky roommate and I'm not looking forward to his loafer's hours.
At least it's no longer snowing like it was yesterday. We've had a pretty erratic spring.
