Almost on time... Happy birthday, Kattiya!

Hope your day was great, even away from home.

[livejournal.com profile] kattiya was my beta/fashion consultant for all the studio scenes in Delicate Sound of Thunder. She made sure I didn't wander too far from the real world of fashion modeling, plus she helped pick out the shirt that gets trashed.

She also spreads the Boyd Holbrook love at this incredible web site.

Enjoy your summer.

Spammity spam.

I've been tapped by [livejournal.com profile] cat_mom to list my six favorite current songs (by current, I mean hit the repeat countless times in succession while no one is around).

1. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd (the live version)
An influential song while writing Delicate Sound of Thunder. Plus there's just a great series of chord changes that I find really hook me.

2. She Will Find Me - Dougie MacLean
Part of my Celtic kick. How can you not love a man called Dougie? He's got a lovely voice and the cutest accent.

3. Windows - Chick Corea
A jazz standard, but I like this arrangement. I almost picked a Keith Jarrett song, but sometimes the mic picks up Keith's toneless crooning in the background - have you noticed that? I mean, he's a terrific pianist, but the man just can't carry a tune with his voice. And every now and then he'll let out an orgasmic sound that's just...um.

4. Rise Above It - Afro Celt Sound System
This is just catchy, in that Celtic blended with African rhythm way. I love this band.

5. Southern Cross - CSNY
A retro moment for me. I've been wanting to own this for years and now I do. And now it reminds me of [livejournal.com profile] isiscolo, the sailor.

6. Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) - Stevie Ray Vaughan
I also love the original Jimi Hendrix version, but I just uploaded this version recently. I'm a sucker for great guitar songs.

Sigh. I had to leave out Steely Dan and Smokey Robinson and Baka Beyond and INXS and Capercaillie and Al Green and the English Beat and Flora Purim and Johnny Clegg and John Coltrane and Los Lonely Boys.

Okay, I pick these six to continue the meme: [livejournal.com profile] thrihyrne, [livejournal.com profile] ravurian, [livejournal.com profile] waterbird, [livejournal.com profile] jamoche, [livejournal.com profile] phreid, [livejournal.com profile] emmagrant01

These things just happen sometimes. If you are here expecting a realistic and thoughtful continuation of my novel-length H/D fics, this sure ain't it! Mwhahaha. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] painless_j and [livejournal.com profile] phreid for the brainstorming.

Title: Never Mind The Bollocks, It's Draco/Harry (Shake Your Groove Thing)
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Draco/Harry
Word Count: 4,999
Summary: This is crack!fic at its worst. Can we say cliché? Yes, yes we can. I tried to get them all.
Warning: Authorial insanity.
Notes: My first (hopefully not last) PP story. I blame it on the pretty pills.

Abandon all hope, ye who click here )
