oddities...

I pulled out an old CD today - Chick Corea and Return to Forever Light as a Feather. Flora Purim does the vocals - it's a classic jazz fusion from 1973. (Did you know they actually convicted and jailed the lovely and talented Ms. Purim in the '80's for cocaine use? Guess she was the wrong political party *coughbushcough*).

So I'm checking out the cover and I read: Lyrics: Neville Potter.

Thanks for all the cheery notes yesterday. I'm feeling marginally better, but they made me come in to work today for an hour. Or else get a doctor's note. I mean WTF??! I've only been here 27 years and no one's ever enforced that old chestnut. Yeah, right, I went to the doctor to tell me I had the flu, and they can't do a damned thing about it -- not. I hope I breathed on all the right people. I was cranky for hours. Other female health issues have also reared their ugly head. So I'm not a happy geoviki. At all.
