Normal service shall resume momentarily

I've been even more absent than usual lately. This is because my son (and youngest child) is graduating from high school tomorrow, and this entails a round of award evenings and numerous parties, one of which is his. Costco is a grad mother's friend; just sayin'.

Here he is, #21 in white. Keep clicking to enlarge. Yes, he is rather buff; he is off limits, do you hear? At any rate, he seems to have a thing for only cheerleaders.

The fruit of your loins is of THE STRONG, lady. *bows*

He's available for heavy lifting, yanno?

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Your comment is so appropriate, heh!

*makes note to self not to slash basketball players in a gift fic to viki*

:D

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahaha! If you've ever seen them "guarding" each other, you'd know this is not as unlikely as you'd expect.

I've never watched much of it to be honest. *makes not to scan Eurosport for basketball*

What a great action shot! I'd be a proud Mama too. :)

My oldest boy, only seven, is just entering the sports arena. So much driving. And I know it's just the beginning.

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Driving and then sitting. We've followed him in basketball, soccer, and football. At least it doesn't rain and snow on us during basketball.

[identity profile] mayflo.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Aww, wow, he's graduating already?? So he is off limits?? XD Well, I have only eyes for his super awesomeness that is his mum, go figure :9

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes and yes. And awwww.

I shall get my act together and write the letter to MK as soon as I can come up for air....

[identity profile] melusinahp.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
That's an awesome photo. Congrats to you both!

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! And yay, it's over.

[identity profile] mahaliem.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
What a great photo!

My son's high school graduation isn't until early June, but these past few weeks have certainly been busy.

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure if they get out early in order to give our kids an edge on summer jobs. Not that there are any this year.

You know what it's like, then. Congrats to your son as well.

[identity profile] cutecoati.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Congrats to both of you! And what an awesome shot!

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! I wish I could say I took this photo, but it was done by someone who hangs around all our high school sports and takes great photos.

[identity profile] teldave.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 10:42 am (UTC)(link)
Your son is awesome; you've done a very good job, mum! Congrats to all!

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. He has his moments (in either direction). ;-)

[identity profile] scrtkpr.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 02:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, what a great picture! :D

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't claim credit for the photo, just the subject of it!

Viki, he's a younger, masculine version of you, down to the ruddy cheeks and the eyes. Congratulations, mom! :-)

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
You think? He looks an awful lot like his dad, too. They both have blue eyes (my daughter's and mine are green.)

[personal profile] venivincere 2009-05-23 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, definitely! I couldn't see the color of his eyes in the photo, but the shape of them is yours. :-)

[identity profile] jonem.livejournal.com 2009-05-22 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Wooo, graduated child! You must feel proud to have seen both of them all the way through - it can feel like such an endless slog.

*determindly does not look at picture That Way*

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
My work is done, right? I can retire, right?

Sadly, neither one of my children would suit you. Not for lack of wishing on my part; you'd be a perfect son-in-law. You could drop by and do my ironing, and you'd be pleased to do it, too.

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Good luck with the grad stuff. I too am dealing with the 'farewell to high school' stuff. Eldest is currently at Wonderland riding roller coasters with his class mates until the wee hours of the morning. Much cooler than any party we had when I was graduating. *pouts*

Nice picture. Heh. Have I mentioned I was a cheerleader in high school?

*runs and hides*

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Have I mentioned I was a cheerleader in high school?

You cougar, you! Stay back! Hahahahaha...

[identity profile] sesheta-66.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! No worries. Anyone within twenty fifteen ten years of my oldest son's age is safe. For now. *g*

[identity profile] pir8fancier.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Bittersweet, isn't it?

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-23 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Another mother and I both popped out with, "No more fundraising! W00t!" I will not miss the parent-driven nature of so many of our kids' activities.

[identity profile] starlitshore.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, everyone's kids are graduating right now! It's making me feel like a bit of a baby in that I'm going through the same parties and whatnot...but for my kid brother!

Congrats to your son and, uh, I won't say anything about him being buff or otherwise. ;)

[identity profile] geoviki.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Graduation parties are a lot better when you are not responsible for the food. Just sayin'!

[identity profile] starlitshore.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. Luckily, we only had to deal with a bunch of boys getting dressed at our place. The eating, drinking, dancing and partying happened at other people's houses. :)
