It's that time at last

Movie rec! Mr. Geoviki and I both loved Little Miss Sunshine (as did bethbethbeth and shaggirl that I've seen comment). It was just quirky enough to be fascinating but not stupid. The six main characters have a great balance (both in the writing and in the acting).

I'm trying to catch up on all my correspondence on LJ and elsewhere. Tomorrow looks to be a madhouse kind of day: doctor appt., errands at work, load the car and drive my daughter back to uni, soccer potluck dinner. I thought I'd better post tonight because I don't think I'll have reams of time later.

I'm finally having the surgery I've needed for months. I have to go in on Tuesday at 5:fucking:30 AM. I am not a morning person. Is this their way of saving on anesthesia? I'm having my girl parts removed (which is a prissy way of saying I'm being neutered). I'm definitely ready! Buh-bye! They'll keep me there for a few days, and is it odd that I'm rushing around trying to rip new CDs so I don't have to watch daytime TV? Think my roomate will mind watching my new DVD of Velvet Goldmine? Thought so.

Then I'll be home for a while, and I have plans to catch up on boatloads of fic. If I can stay awake, that is.
